Delivery and returns

Delivery costs

Free delivery in metropolitan France, with no minimum purchase. €3.90 everywhere else.

  • Metropolitan France and Corsica: free, whatever the amount.
  • Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, La Réunion, Mayotte: €3.90.
  • European Union: €3.90.
  • Switzerland, United States and other destinations outside the EU: €3.90, excluding customs duties.
  • French-speaking Africa and the Maghreb: €3.90, excluding customs duties.
  • We do not deliver to the United Kingdom.

A single bonnet therefore costs you €13.90 delivered in metropolitan France. The 3-piece set is €21.90, compared with €27.80 for the durag and the bonnet bought separately.

How long delivery takes

Allow 8 to 15 business days in metropolitan France, counted from payment validation.

These are business days, weekends and public holidays not included: in calendar weeks, that is about two to three weeks. We prefer to give you both figures rather than the one that suits us. The delay in business days is the one written in our terms and conditions, and it is the one that binds us.

The reason for this delay is simple: our pieces do not ship from a French warehouse. Our satin accessories are shipped from our partner suppliers abroad. This is exactly what makes a bonnet at €13.90 possible rather than at €30. The day we hold advance stock in France, the delay will drop — and the price will rise. We chose the other balance.

To all other destinations, allow 15 to 30 business days — overseas territories, European Union, international, French-speaking Africa and the Maghreb — with a tracking number from the moment of shipment. We have only two delivery times: one for France and one for the rest. It is long, and the figure we display is the top of the range, not the one that suits us.

If these delays do not suit you, do not order now. We would rather have one sale fewer than one more disappointment.

What happens after your order

  1. Immediately — you receive the order confirmation by email.
  2. Within 24 to 48 business hours — your order is prepared and handed over for shipping.
  3. At shipping — you receive a tracking number. It lets you locate the parcel at every stage.
  4. 8 to 15 business days after ordering in metropolitan France, 15 to 30 business days to other destinations — delivery.

If you have not received your tracking number after five business days, write to us: it means there is a problem, and we would rather know before you do.

Delivery to the overseas territories

We deliver to Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, La Réunion and Mayotte at the same rate as the rest of the world: €3.90.

Two things to know before ordering:

  • The delivery time is longer than in metropolitan France, often significantly.
  • Local taxes may apply on arrival, notably the octroi de mer. They are collected by customs, not by us, and we cannot estimate the amount in advance.

Delivery to French-speaking Africa and the Maghreb

We deliver to 21 additional destinations, at the same rate as the rest of the world: €3.90.

Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Niger, Benin, Togo, Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Chad, Mauritania, Madagascar, Comoros, Djibouti, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Haiti.

Two things to know before ordering:

  • The delivery time is 15 to 30 business days, with a tracking number from the moment of shipment. It is long, and we write it before you pay.
  • Customs duties may apply on arrival, payable by the recipient. See the section below.

Orders outside the European Union: customs duties

Switzerland and the United States are not part of the customs territory of the European Union. Your parcel may therefore be subject to customs duties, import tax and handling fees charged by the carrier at the time of delivery.

For the United States in particular: the exemption that used to spare small parcels from customs duties was removed in August 2025. All goods entering U.S. territory are now taxed, whatever the amount. Delays can also be significantly longer, as postal shipments of goods are heavily disrupted.

The French-speaking African and Maghreb countries we serve are not part of the customs territory of the European Union either. Customs duties and import taxes may be required from the recipient there when the parcel arrives. We have no way of predicting them or of advancing the payment.

These amounts are not included in what you pay on our site and do not come back to us. We have no way of knowing them in advance.

In other words: if you order from the United States, the final cost may far exceed the price shown here. We prefer to warn you, even if it puts you off, rather than let you find out at your door.

Satisfaction or your money back for 30 days

You have 30 days after receipt to make up your mind. Wear the bonnet, sleep on the pillowcase, for several nights if need be: it is by using a product that you find out whether it suits you.

If it does not suit you, write to us at contact@maisonsatinea.fr with your order number. You do not have to send it back. A bonnet or a pillowcase that has been worn cannot be resold: making you pay for a return for an item that would end up thrown away would make no sense. No form, no supporting document. If you are willing to tell us what did not suit you, it helps us; it is not a condition.

We refund the price paid for the product or products concerned, after discounts, to your original payment method, within 14 days of your request. If the whole order is concerned, delivery costs are refunded as well.

Once per customer, for one order. It is the only limit, and it exists so that this guarantee can last. The full conditions are in article 9 bis of our terms and conditions of sale.

Your right of withdrawal

Independently of this guarantee, the law gives you 14 days after receipt to change your mind, without having to justify yourself. This is your right of withdrawal, and it remains fully available even if you have already used the 30-day guarantee.

Write to us at contact@maisonsatinea.fr, and we will give you the return address and refund you. No lengthy form, no supporting document to provide.

You can try the product, as you would in a store: trying it on does not make you lose your right to a refund. We simply ask you to send it back to us complete, with its packaging. If the product has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics, we may deduct from the refund the amount of the resulting loss in value (article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code). For hygiene reasons, products unsealed after delivery cannot be taken back.

Return costs are at your expense, unless the product is defective or non-conforming: in that case, we cover them. The refund is made to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the return or proof that it was sent.

Any customs duties or local taxes paid are not passed on to us and therefore cannot be refunded by us.

If the parcel never arrives

After 20 business days without delivery in metropolitan France, or 35 business days to other destinations, write to us. We resend or refund, at your choice. You do not have to bear a shipping problem that you did not cause.
