Maison Satinéa was born from a simple observation: we spend a considerable amount of time caring for our hair during the day, and we abandon it completely at night.

Carefully chosen hair care, a steady routine, time spent defining curls — then eight hours of friction against a cotton pillowcase. In the morning: tangles, frizz, flattened volume. And the feeling that nothing we do really holds.

We looked for a solution, and it already existed: satin. A smooth weave that lets the fiber glide instead of catching it, and that does not absorb the products you have just applied. Nothing revolutionary — it is knowledge passed down for generations in communities that have always cared for their textured hair.

Why “Maison”

We started with what you wear: the bonnet and the durag. Then something obvious became clear — half of the problem is not on the head, it is on the bed.

A satin pillowcase answers the same question in a different way: it asks for no new habit, and it also protects the skin of the face. A heatless curler answers it in yet another way: it creates a shape during the night, with no heat and no iron.

That is why we became a house rather than an accessories brand. What we sell is not a product category; it is what happens between the moment you go to bed and the moment you get up.

The middle ground

What was missing was the middle ground. On one side, three-euro accessories, badly cut, that slip and do not last. On the other, silk bonnets at thirty euros, out of reach for daily use.

We chose polyester satin, well woven and well cut. It is not silk, and we will never claim otherwise. But it has the two properties that really matter for your hair — glide and non-absorption — at a price that lets you have two, and give one away.

The curler, for its part, is not made of satin: it is foam covered with fabric, because on this item it is the shape that does the work, not the surface. We write this on its product page instead of letting you think otherwise.

What you will not find here

No frantic stock counter, no offer that expires in eleven minutes, no fabricated reviews. The delivery time is written before you pay, not after: 8 to 15 business days in metropolitan France, 15 to 30 business days to other destinations, because our pieces do not ship from a French warehouse. This is exactly what makes a bonnet at €13.90 possible rather than at €30.

The day we hold advance stock in France, the delivery time will drop and the price will rise. We chose the other balance, and we would rather tell you than have you find out.

We will not promise you a result either. How long your hairstyle will last, how long a curl will keep its shape: that depends on your hair, not on our fabric. Any shop that gives you a number for this is making it up.
