Satin. Satin is a weave, not a fiber: it can be woven from silk, polyester or viscose. Our bonnets, durags, pillowcases and sets are polyester satin. Bonnets, durags and wave caps are one size, adjustable, designed for the vast majority of adult head sizes. The bonnet is cut wide to fit long or thick hair and voluminous styles. Two items are the exception: the pillowcase, to be chosen in 65 × 65 cm for a square pillow or 50 × 75 cm for a rectangular one, and the bedding set, whose duvet cover comes in a single size, 200 × 200 cm. Measure your duvet before ordering.

Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild soap, or machine wash at 30 °C in a mesh bag. No tumble dryer, no fabric softener. Air dry, laid flat.

Bedding goes straight into the machine at 30 °C, delicate cycle. Never iron satin directly on the fabric: a dry cloth between the iron and the material, or nothing at all — satin smooths out as it dries laid out.

Yes. The satin bedding set applies the same principle as the pillowcase, but to the whole surface of the bed: a fabric that glides instead of catching. The duvet cover is 200 × 200 cm, the size of a standard double duvet. One thing to know before ordering: the two pillowcases supplied measure 48 × 74 cm, a North American size that fits no French pillow. If you want pillowcases in the right size, ours are the ones.

The pillowcase if you do not want to wear anything on your head to sleep — it is also the only one that protects the skin of your face. The bedding set if you want satin over the whole bed rather than only the pillow. The heatless curler if you want to create curls rather than protect them.
